I started writing on Medium in August 2019 — my first writing adventure. Since then, I’ve been an erratic writer. For at least 5 months I wrote well and then completely lost track.
Months went by and then years in the blink of an eye and I did everything else but write.
Recently, I picked myself up again.
Last month I published a couple of articles to get started. Now I’m trying to get going.
A lot has changed at Medium in the last couple of years.
When I joined, I felt like everyone was trying to make money. But now it’s less about making money and more about writing.
My feed is now filled with beautiful stories, most of which have nothing to do with making money. It looks more like a knowledge-sharing platform than a money-making machine.
I welcome this change of heart and it makes me want to write again.
Nothing happens without a plan. So here are the key considerations I’m making to get back to writing more.
1. Read more books
2. Use more AI
3. Medium icon on the home screen of the mobile phone
4. At least one article per week
5. Writing drafts on the mobile/tablet

With these and many other little habits, I hope to produce a steady stream of articles.
Time will tell if this works for me or not.

If you like this article, you’ll like the thousand other even better articles on this platform.
You can choose to become a member by using my referral link. That way I get a small share without you having to pay anything.
